Spend Your Summer Vacation in New York

When I think of New York, two series pop into my mind: Gossip Girl and Sex and the City. And both made me fall in love with the city. I can say, without a doubt, that many tourist visit NYC thanks to and because of such series. If you plan to spend the summer check out the Big Apple, plan your vacation in advance. Do some research and try to make an itinerary. The city has so much to offer that it’s going to be hard to decide once you come here.

Summer festivals in New York can satisfy any taste and many of them are free. You can listen to music, watch movies, see a play, or attend the parades. Soak up the atmosphere and blend with both locals and tourists.

Since summer is high season in New York, make sure to look for flights to NYC ahead of time. Or you can keep an eye on last minute deals, especially if you have the flexibility to just pack and go. Don’t forget about accommodation either. Cheap Manhattan hotels are excellent choices and you’ll be in the center of everything.

Aside from spending time checking out the festivals, you can visit the museums – most of them are free to visit – and, of course, don’t forget to do some shopping. If the heat proves too much to bear, Central Park can offer a nice relief. And you can always take a break in one of the famous cafes and try a cold drink. Since you are in NYC, don’t forget to check out some of the famous night clubs.
