Why You Should Add New York City to Your RTW Trip

Our sister site over at BootsnAll has been updating and revamping the RTW (round the world) travel section of their site. If you’ve thought about taking an extended trip, the RTW travel planning section is the place you want to start.

We have also been updating our destination guides in the RTW section of the site, giving tips and advice for people who want to add certain cities to their RTW trip itinerary. You can check out the pros and cons of adding New York City to your RTW trip and find out the highlights of adding the Big Apple to your itinerary.

There are a multitude of reasons why New York City is such a popular travel destination. New York is truly one of the world’s great cities, with something to offer everyone. Millions of people a year travel to New York City to see sites like the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the plethora of great museums and restaurants.

At first look, RTW travelers may leave a touristy, expensive city like New York off their itinerary. But if you dig a little deeper and look beyond the typical New York travel experience, you may find a lot of reasons to change your mind. If you are from the US, it may be a great place to begin your trip, especially with all the New York City flights. If you’re not from here and plan on visiting the country during your RTW trip, what better place to get baptized into the culture than the city that never sleeps?
