Visit New York in Style

Whenever I think about New York, images of lavish houses and posh parties spring into mind. Must be the “Gossip Girl” and “Sex and the City” addictions! Really.

While I am definitely a budget traveler on my own travel time, when I travel for business I prefer a little more pampering. Ok. Make it a bit more pampering. And since relaxing after a series of meetings entitles a dip in a posh pool, I would fancy trying my swimming skills in one of the incredible hotel pools which can be found in New York. At Gansevoort Park to be exact. And let’s not forget the views of the city from 20 stores up. Ah! New York!

If your travel budget doesn’t include such splurges, then you need to check out the New York hotel deals . With a bit of luck you can find hotel rooms for $99 per night in Chelsea-Madison Square Garden area. Typically, you can save money if you wait to book the room at the last possible minute –when they are heavily discounted – or if you book several months in advance.

Likewise, when looking for flights to New York , start with the deals from low-cost carriers. You need to be quite flexible with the travel dates in order to benefit from their offers, though. Also, you can wait until the last minute and grab one of the discounted flights. Or play it safe and book your ticket in advance.
