The British Consulate-General in New York City is located on 3rd Avenue, near 51st Street. Not surprisingly, it’s near the United Nations Complex. The closest subway line is the 6 at 51st Street, but this is a crowded part of Midtown, which is easy to reach from most subway lines with only a short walk.

The Australian consulate in New York City is on 42nd Street near Lexington Avenue, right next to Grand Central Station and down the street from the UN complex. It’s walking distance from Times Square, and nearly every subway line stops on 42nd Street, so it couldn’t be easier to reach the place.
