One of the perks of flying to and from a big city like New York City is that you’ll have multiple options for which airports you travel through. More airports means more flights, more competition, and often, more deals.
If you’re planning a trip to New York, be sure to check the prices of flights flying into all three nearby airports – JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty.
You may find that one is significantly cheaper that the other. Of course, be sure to take into account the costs and time involved in getting from each airport into the city, if that is your final destination.
If you plan on taking a taxi, LaGuardia is your best bet. If you’re comfortable with public transportation and want the cheapest possible option, JFK is ideal. If you want an inexpensive option but don’t want to deal with sorting confusing details, hop on the airport shuttle from Newark. If you’re leaving a car at the airport, Newark is also ideal – it’s about 15 miles from the city and Newark Airport parking costs about $12 per day.
Be sure to check on the deals from Newark, JFK and LaGaurdia before you book your NYC travel to make sure you’re getting the best deal for you.

Its worth bearing in mind that if travelling to New York from another continent you will likely only have JFK or Newark as options as La Guardia flights are mostly internal US flights. They are pretty much equal distance from manhattan with JFK to the east and Newark to the west so won’t really matter which one you come into.
If you’re going to some trip to new York, please be sure that the prices of different flights are low and not much costly.
If I’m just visiting for about a month, but need to go somewhere for a weekend, can anyone tell me about newark airport parking? I’m not familiar with it at all.
